Our friendly and professional guides return year after year because of their love of the river and rafting. They can answer all of your questions about the river, the flora and fauna, rock formations, or any thing else about the area. We strive to make your trip as enjoyable and educational as possible.

Owner and Operator of Jackson Hole Whitewater. David has operated JHWW for over 25 years, and has built it to be one of the most respected whitewater outfits in the Jackson Hole Valley. Tom started his rafting career back in 1974 in Grand Teton National Park and it wasn’t long before his love of rivers became the center of his attention. Tom started Rangitikei River Adventures in New Zealand in 1978 and organized the New Zealand Professional Rafting Association. Tom returned to Jackson Hole in 1994 and has guided in the Snake River Canyon for the last 13 years.

Captain Ron has been with the JHWW team since April, 1988, back when rafts were actually made from tree logs. Prior to his much-anticipated arrival at JHWW, he had worked many fine rivers elsewhere in the World, including the Rio Grande in Texas and New Mexico, the Colorado River (Grand Canyon), the Flat Head in Glacier National Park, the Zambeze in South Africa, the White Nile in Uganda and the Shotover in New Zealand.

He was voted "Best River Guide in Jackson" several years in a row until the survey was discontinued.

Whenever not raft-guiding, he might be found leading snowmobile excursions into Yellowstone National Park, or guiding sea kayak trips in Baja, Mexico, or hanging out in his clunker sailboat in San Diego.

Hobbies include writing (3 novels to date), artistic pursuits (wood burning, scroll-saw and chainsaw art), and music (primarily trombone, tuba & cello).

I am origionally from Mass or Red Sox Nation, however you see it. I grew up canoeing the raging rapids of the Northeast and felt it was time to try out the West. Now I’m stuck here, in love with Jackson Hole and the wild west. Every summer is like another vacation from the real world

Adrienne Kirkwood has been a guide since 2000. She is currently a ski patroller, river and wilderness guide, and outdoor emergency care instructor. Adrienne has a degree in Parks and Resource Management from Kansas State University and has returned to JHWW for her 5th season on the Snake!

Grew up in Providence, Rhode Island but moved west in 2004 to attend The Colorado College where he majored in Sustainable Development. There he discovered his passion for rafting on various rivers throughout Colorado and Utah.
He got his start comercial guiding when he moved to Jackson Hole for the summer of 2007 and started here with Jackson Hole White Water. This year he will be returning for his third season with JHWW and cannot wait to get back out there on the oars.

Ellen was a new face with Jackson Hole Whitewater during the 2007 summer season, but she wasn’t new to boating! She whet her appetite for rafting down on the Colorado River through that big ditch they call the Grand Canyon in Arizona. With that experience in mind, she looks forward to taking you down the whitewater section of the Snake for a hair-raising (or wetting) time!
